The LPYC Choirs
We Run Three Choirs:
 | Boys Choir - For boys aged 7 to 13 |
| Girls Choir - For girls aged 7 to 13 |
| Senior Choir - For young people aged 14 to 24 |
Children and young people of all abilities are most welcome to join us, we sing every kind of music: Classical, Pop and Songs from the Shows.
No auditions are necessary
Rehearsals to enhance singing techniques and performance, led by experienced professionals, are held every Tuesday evening (during term time) at Guthlaxton College, Wigston.
Leicester Competitive Festival of Music and Drama.
The Leicester Phoenix Youth Chorale entered two classes;
| The Childrens’ Choir for 11 to 16 years for which we were awarded the First award and the Y.M.C.A. shield. |
| And the Childrens’ Choirs up to 19 for which we were awarded First award and the Humberstone Mills Trophy. |
Both trophies were hotly contested.
All at LYPC are delighted with the performance, hard work and dedication from our singers and support from their parents, and we wish to congratulate Willard Welsford our Musical Director on the way he has trained, encouraged and led our Choirs.
